The man & The vision

Ruben, the R&B singer, songwriter and musical star with the amazing green eyes released his debut album “Exceptional” in partnership with RADIO NRJ and RADIO Ö3 in 2006.  After the huge success of his debut single Be My Lady ( Top 15), his starring role in CARMEN CUBANA, where he also has credit as a score-writer, Ruben is currently in the studio working with producer Sensay finishing his new Project IN MY ROOM.
The songs on this album are more personal then anything Ruben has written before. Inspired by his experiences on his German tour RUBEN wrote his songs at night after the shows in his hotel rooms. Hence the title “IN MY ROOM”
His first single “Who’s Ur Mother” is already creating a buzz on myspace and the Austrian music scene.
Once again Ruben strives to capture his audience with his unique style: his emotional lyrics embraced by beautiful soul and R&B music with a subtle but specific Caribbean flavor.

Ruben Heerenveen, born from a Caribbean father and Dutch mother, grew up on the island of Curaçao and migrated to Holland as a teenager. After high school he studied at the School for the Performing Arts in Amsterdam, formed the a cappella singing group ‘Prospect’ with his cousins, influenced by his musical role models BoyzIIMen and worked as a background dancer for international artists including Enrique Iglesias, Melanie Thornton and Mr.President
At a chance musical audition in Vienna he stood out because of the combination of his singing and dancing talents. He decided to move to Vienna where he played various lead roles in musicals like Fame, Jesus Christ Superstar and Hair

In 2003 Ruben moved to Los Angeles to work and record with Duan Watts & LE18 Entertainment (Britney Spears, Rafael Sadeeq)
He also was the opening act for Shaggy, N.E.R.D and Jordin Sparks, wrote and performed the theme song for the Austrian Lifeball in 2006 and 2007 and performed at established venues like WIENER STADTHALLE, NRJ IN THE PARK and the GASOMETER.

2007 was the year that RUBEN added producer and C.E.O. to his already long list of accomplishments, when he started his own music label G.E.B. Music and produced 5 music videos.
The dancer, choreographer, musical performer, singer- songwriter, actor, producer and C.E.O. grew up to be a man and a full-blown entrepreneur with a vision.
